  • This lot consists of 9 pallets of scrap metal:
    • 80 units in total (see picture #3 for reference)
    • Weight and dimension of 1 pallet: 468 lb, 48" x 31" x 69" H
    • Weight of each unit with packaging: 43 lb
    • Weight of each unit without packaging: 30 lb
  • Type of scrap metal composition is unknown

Important Notes:

  • These units are sold for scrap metal. They cannot be sold for anything else than scrap metal thereafter.
  • Viewing is highly recommended prior to bidding due to the amount of packaging.

Additional comments:
  1. Transportation costs, loading and removal of the assets are the sole responsibility of the Purchaser and at the Purchaser's own expense;
  2. Appointments for pick-ups are mandatory, no exceptions will be made. Your appointment will be made through our client department, please email (leigha.struthers@phac-aspc.gc.ca) to schedule your appointments;
  3. Please respect and adhere by the appointment window. If late, the appointment could be cancelled;
  4. Warehouse pick up address will be provided upon awards: 5 km radius from Whaley's Corners, Brampton, ON L0P 1E0;
  5. Warehouse hours of operation: Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (last appointment will be 1:30 p.m.);
  6. The type of vehicle used to collect the product must be a 5-Ton Truck, 48' Trailer or 53' Trailer. No hand loading at ground level permitted. Twenty-six pallets per truck is standard. All vehicles must have the capacity to be loaded with a forklift or a pallet truck at the loading dock;
  7. Arrive with the appropriate clothing: steel-toe boots and safety vest, drivers could be turned away if they are not dressed appropriately;
  8. Warehouse staff on site will load all pallets onto trucks/trailers;
  9. The Purchaser or Transporter will have to request an Order Number through the Client Department; this will allow access past security; and,
  10. You must comply with the above criteria, or you risk the possibility of a refusal for pick up.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
