Vehicle Registration

  2. Original APV9T Transfer and Registration are located at GCSurplus Langley Sales Centre Office (5370 - 271st Street, Langley, BC V4W 3Y7).
    • APV9T & registrations will be mailed to the Buyer.
  3. Be sure to bid under the name that will appear on the registration.
  4. If this is a company purchase, register your company with GC Surplus and be sure to bid under the company's name.

Inspection and Pick-up

  1. A Temporary Operating Permit (TOP) purchased in the province of B.C., displaying the VIN is required for out-of-province (B.C.) purchaser picking up and driving the vehicle.
  2. Appointments to view and pick up are mandatory, no exceptions.
  3. Buyers without appointments will be turned away.

  4. The Buyer is responsible for making all transportation arrangements and for all costs incurred.
  5. All pick-ups by a third party or transport require a completed bill of lading and signed authority to release to be sent to GC Surplus prior to sending the third party or transport.
  6. This vehicle will need to be towed from site (on flat bed or tow truck).

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
