  1. Appointments for viewing and pick-up are available Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST.
  2. 24- notice required for appointment.
  3. Visitors without appointments may be turned away.
  4. Viewing recommended before bidding.
  5. The height and weight approximate. No equipment has been weighed.
  6. Important: The purchaser must provide the GCSurplus representative with a copy of their certificate showing that they are a provincially or federally recognized vehicle recycler.
  7. The buyer must destroy the vehicle and sign a certificate of destruction that will be provided by the Department of National Defence (DND). The destruction of each unit and submission of the certificate of destruction must be completed no later than 1 week from the date of pick up.
  8. Photos of the destruction of each unit must be provided. The destruction site must also be accessible to DND personnel so they can verify the vehicles are not resold whole or for parts.
  9. The buyer will have to accept "contaminated scrap" as such: a combination of metal and non-metallic materials including an unspecified quantity of dirt, plastic and cardboard (ex: tires, rubber hoses, oil/fluids, etc., that can be attached or not to the scrap metal parts).
  10. There will be no guarantee regarding the percentage of scrap metal parts and non-metallic components.
  11. The buyer's responsibilities also include the drainage of all fluids and petroleum products before the vehicle is turned into scrap by crushing or shredding.
  12. The vehicle is not safe to be used as a means of transportation.
  13. The provincial and federal environmental laws will have to be respected.
  14. No destruction of the vehicle will be allowed to occur on DND's property.
  15. Liability and associated costs in the event of leakage or spillage during movement or loading of vehicles will be at the purchaser's expense.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
