MLVW Scrap

  • 20 x 2.5 ton MLVW vehicles
  • Width: 2.48 m / 8.1'
  • Height: 3.18 m / 11'
  • Length: 6.71 m / 22'
  • Approximate Weight per vehicle: 6,500 kg /14,330 lb

Container Scrap

  • 5 containers
  • Width: 2.1 m / 7'
  • Height: 2.4 m / 8'
  • Length: 3.7 m / 12'
  • Approximate weigh per container: 2,000 lb

  • The items are sold only for the scrap value (with contaminants like rubber, tires, hoses, oil, etc.).
  • Transport Canada has deemed the vehicles not road worthy. No VIN's will be provided for this transaction.
  • The vehicles are not safe to be used as a means of transportation and will not meet provincial highway regulations due to trunnion.
  • Weights are approximate. None of the items have been weighed.
  • The photos are a representation to provide an image of the vehicles. They may not represent your lot specifically.
  • The purchaser must provide the GCSurplus representative with a copy of his certificate showing that he is a recycler recognized by a provincial or federal institution.
  • These vehicles and its contaminants (such as rubber [tires, hoses], fiberglass, fabric upholstery, oil and others) are sold for scrap metal.
  • The terms and conditions of the vehicles are for scrap metal only.
  • The buyer is not to sell the complete vehicle to a third party that could possibly put a combination of vehicles into one to make a runner.
  • There will be no guarantee on the percentage of metal and non-metal scrap materials.
  • The buyer will have to accept "contaminated scrap metal" such as: a combination of metal and non-metal materials that include unspecified amounts of dirt, plastic and cardboard. (e.g., upholstered seats).
  • The purchaser will be required to destroy the vehicles and provide a certificate of destruction for each unit (serial number). A document format will be provided by the Department of National Defence (DND).
  • Photos may be required as proof and the destruction site must be accessible by DND personnel to assure the Crown that the vehicles will not be resold in whole or for parts.
  • The purchaser's responsibilities for this lot also include the draining of all liquids and petroleum products before the metal is scrapped by crushing or grinding.
  • All vehicles will come drained of fluids and no batteries. Some residual fluid or water may have entered vehicle cavities.
  • Provincial and federal environmental laws must be followed.
  • No destruction will be permitted on DND property.
  • The buyer must have means of loading and transporting the vehicles.
  • Liability and costs associated with any spills or leaks during the movement or loading of vehicles will be at the expense of the purchaser.
  • **Vehicles may have parts or components that have been painted with Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) Paint. MSDS will be provided.

Contactless Pick-up:

  1. Appointments must be made for pick-ups at least 24 hours in advance. There will be no exceptions.
  2. Buyers without appointments will be turned away.
  3. Appointments for pick-ups are available Monday through Thursday, excluding statutory holidays.

  5. Upon arrival for pick-ups, buyers must park and wait in their vehicle and call for further instruction.
  6. The Buyer is responsible for making all transportation arrangements and for all costs incurred.
  7. All pick-ups by a third party or transport require written authorization from the Buyer emailed to GCSurplus at prior to sending the third party or transport.
  8. Transport pick-ups also require a completed bill of lading emailed prior to pick-up. The entry to the base will not be permitted otherwise
  9. The purchaser must come equipped and prepared with proper equipment and staff/help to pick up the lot.

Payment and Removal
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.
