Registration

Viewing and Pick-Ups

  1. Viewing and pick-ups are by appointment only. Buyers who do not have an appointment will be refused access to the site.
  2. When making an appointment for an inspection, you need to specify the lot(s) number(s) you wish to inspect. Inspections will be limited to the lot(s) mentioned only. Only visual inspections are allowed, boxes will not be emptied.
  3. Viewing and pick-ups will be allowed Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, and from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. We are closed from noon until 12:30 p.m. every day. We are closed on weekends and during statutory holidays.

  8. All third party people sent by the buyer to pick up a lot must have the Authority to Release signed by the buyer in order to pick up the lot.
  9. The buyer is responsible for supplying the necessary labour and equipment for loading and for having the right type of vehicle to pick up the lot(s). If GCSurplus employees, or GCSurplus equipment, are used during loading at the buyer's request, GCSurplus and the Government of Canada disclaim all liability for any incident or accident occurring to the buyer or their authorized representative as well as any damage to the buyer's vehicle (including trailer).

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
