Sale and Export

  1. These trailers were built and certified for a non-Canadian market and are sold for export only. They cannot be registered or resold in Canada. Proof of export will be required.
  2. This trailer must be picked up at Coutts, Alberta location by a Bonded Carrier who must provide relevant documentation indicating destination to a location outside of Canada.
  3. Once payment is completed, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) will issue a Bill of Sale to the Purchaser who will then have 30 calendar days from the date indicated on the Bill of Sale to comply with the export requirements. If the purchaser fails to export the vehicle within this prescribed period, PSPC reserves the right to cancel the sale, forfeit the ownership and refund the payment of sales, less an administration fee and damages caused by the sale cancellation.

This trailer has been forfeited to the Crown.

Pick-Up Instructions:

  1. Purchaser must supply all labour and equipment for the pick-up.
  2. Appointments must be made for pick-ups for at least 24 hours in advance.

  4. The purchaser or their authorized person/company must bring the Authority to Release with them at the time of the pick-up.
  5. All pick-ups by a third party or transport company require written authorization from the Buyer, emailed to chad.farncombe@cbsa-asfc.gc.ca and jamie.packard@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca, prior to sending the third party or transport. Failure to do so may result in your item(s) not being released.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
