  • Weight 13,975kg - 22,575kg

  • The weight and height are approximate
  • Buyer must have means of loading onto a lowboy flatbed
  • The vehicles are sold only for the scrap value (with contaminants like rubber [tires, hoses], oil, etc.).
  • The vehicles are not safe to be used as a means of transportation.
  • There will be no guarantee regarding the percentage of scrap metal parts and non-metallic components.
  • The buyer will have to accept "contaminated scrap" as such: a combination of metal and non-metallic materials including an unspecified quantity of dirt, plastic and cardboard (ex: tires, rubber hoses, etc., that can be attached or not to the scrap metal parts).
  • The buyer will have to provide a Letter of Intent to scrap stating the vehicles will not be placed on Provincial roads due to condition of vehicle. No VIN #s will be provided for this transaction.
  • Some pictures could have to be provided as proof and the site will have to be accessible to the DND employees so they can ensure the Crown that the vehicles are not resold whole or for parts.
  • The buyer's responsibilities also include the drainage of all fluids and petroleum products before the trailers are turned into scrap by crushing or shredding.
  • The provincial and federal environmental laws will have to be respected.
  • No destruction of the vehicles will be allowed to occur on DND's property.
  • The buyer is responsible for leaking or spills that happen while loading or transporting the vehicles and will have to pay the cleaning or decontamination fees.
Additional comments:
  1. Appointments for pick-ups are mandatory and must be arranged 24 hours in advance. No drop-ins will be accepted. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, inspections may not be permitted.

  3. Appointments to view and pick-up are mandatory, no exceptions.
  4. The purchaser must comply with the security requirements put in place for COVID-19 at the location of the asset(s).
  5. The purchaser must contact the custodian and make an appointment for a specific date and time so they can meet onsite. Any appointments cancellation must be done in the 24 hours prior to the appointment date.
  6. Inspection and pick-ups are done during the weekdays Monday to Friday. The exact time has to be discussed with the custodian.
  7. Purchasers who arrive unprepared may be refused.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
