  1. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to enter the building or access the site where the goods are located.

Special Instructions During the COVID 19 Pandemic

  1. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, no viewing is permitted.
  2. We encourage you to visit our "COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions" on our website for more information and to keep updated by reading our banner updates on the website.
  3. GCSurplus is not accepting payments at sales centres at this time. We are only accepting online payments through our website (no in-person payment).
  4. Pick-ups will be contactless. Instructions will be provided at the time of appointment.

Contactless Pick-up:

  1. Appointments must be made for pick-ups at least 24 hours in advance. There will be no exceptions.
  2. Buyers without appointments wiill be turned away.
  3. Appointments for pick-up are available Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding statutory holidays.
  4. Pick-ups will be contactless. Call Russ Logan at 780-495-6003 or email at russ.logan@ec.gc.ca for appointments and site specific COVID-19 protocols.
  5. The buyer is responsible for making their own arrangements for packaging, loading and removal of the item.
  6. Safety footwear is required where heavy items are being handled (furniture, tires, etc).
  7. If a forklift is required for assistance in loading/handling, operator is not responsible for any damage to item(s) and/or vehicle.
  8. All pick-ups by a third party require a signed Authority to Release to be sent to the contact listed in the sale prior to pick-ups.
  9. If sending a transport company a completed Bill of Lading is also required to be emailed to the contact listed on the sale prior to pick-ups.
  10. Certain requirements exist for removal by transport companies. Contact Russ Logan prior to bidding to ensure 3rd party removal instructions are understood.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
