Registration

  1. This vehicle has never been registered therefore a safety inspection may be required prior to registering the vehicle.
  2. If you are purchasing a vehicle for export, please contact the manufacturer with the VIN to ensure the vehicle meets import requirements for the country of destination prior to placing a bid.

Viewing and Pickups

  1. Appointments must be made for pickups at least 24 hours in advance. There will be no exceptions.
  2. Buyers without appointments will be turned away.
  3. Buyers must come with Governement Issued Photo ID, Bill of Sale and Authority to Release for the Military Police checkpoint upon entry.
  4. Visitors picking up items will be expected to adhere to other guidelines that may be required while at CFB 4 Wing Cold Lake.
  5. Appointments for pickups are available Mondays through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. excluding statutory holidays.

  7. The Buyer is responsible for making all transportation arrangements and for all costs incurred.
  8. All pickups by a third party or transport require written authorization from the Buyer only emailed to majequipclk@forces.gc.ca prior to sending the third party or transport.
  9. Transport pickups also require appointments and a completed Bill of Lading emailed to majequipclk@forces.gc.ca prior to the pickup. The entry to the base will not be permitted otherwise.
  10. Buyer must come equipped and prepared with proper equipment and staff/help to pick up the lot.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

All sales are final. No purchased Goods may be returned and no requests for reimbursement in whole or in part will be accepted.

844.1

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

860.2

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
